I am not a cut and paste type person. I believe you did say that exactly. That an elder in such a position would be "giving a ticket to freedom" to a member and that is not bad? Perhaps I misunderstood your meaning.

I'm coming to the conclusion...the WTBTS is a publishing cult (If its all about the bible why do we have all the books/tracts/magazines. etc)?
by Joliette inwas watching a video on you-tube (i wish i could copy and paste the link, but cant do it in mozilla firefox).
anyways, the video made a really good point about how the wtbts is not only a religious cult but a publishing cult.
the watchtower has released hundreds of books over the past 100 years.

Indeed the tower is a propoganda, leaflet, book, cd, and in short, media selling corporation.

Of course they should not be personally "blasted". Of course everyone exits or not on their own time. However, this thread is about elders in particular who know the truth about the truth (tm), and remain in a position of authority. It is a question and thread that I personally find interesting and worth exploring in depth. I have always wondered about it...Not why would an elder post here per say, but how they can in good conscience remain elders, leaders of the "faith" after becoming aware.

So the elder could in your view "out" somebody in the rank, but can't step down himself willinglly? WTF?
It is ok to kick someone else out because you are "saving" them, but you cant honor your own reasoning? Hogwash...
By the way, my posts on this subject are not directed to anyone personally...It is only my opinion on a hypothetical. No offense to anyone is meant.

Any "elder" who continues to be such and posts publicly that he is in grave doubt needs to step down as a first step as a matter of honesty and to PROTECT his family. Soon or later the fellow will be outed and his family put to judicial as to what they knew when, not a pretty picture....Turn yourself in and have life as you know it blown to hell? No..but step down as an 'elder'.
How can he in good conscience stand in judgement of a congregation member(he is required to do this) in a judicial matter? He will be placed in the situation to punish/disipline a member who may be doing something much less 'sinfull"(tm) than the one who is standing as judge.
He could remain a member in good standing and thereby delay his ousting just as well as a R and F member to accomplish his goals of wanting to rescue his family...
I do not have to walk a mile in another persons moccossins to know that this is wrong, pure and simple. Having said that, It is not my job to be the boss of anybody, or criticize for the sake of antagonizing someone. It simply is hypocritical, it makes no sense, and some folks will be greatly annoyed by it for all the obvious reasons.
